Connecting Winston-Salem to High Point

Now you've got more options! Starting June 5th a new mid-day service will begin - click here to view that schedule. The Route 5 NC Amtrak Connector has been adjusted to service that train.

The NC Amtrak Connector shuttle service meets morning Trains 73/80 mid day 74/75 and evening Trains 76/79. The service links Downtown Winston-Salem to North Carolina's Amtrak service at the High Point Train Station.

How to Catch the Connector
The Connector provides shuttle service between the Winston-Salem Transportation Center, Winston-Salem State University and the High Point Amtrak Station. Cost is $2 one way, exact fare is required. Driver has no change.

Baggage
There is no checked baggage service in High Point. Passengers are limited to 2 carry-on bags (up to 50 lbs each). Carry-on limits do not apply to purses, briefcases, laptops, car seats and strollers.

Parking
In Winston Salem – Free parking is available in the One West Fourth Street parking deck at Liberty (Entrance is on Liberty Street). Additional free parking at the City of Winston-Salem parking deck at Fourth and Chestnut streets (Call PART at 336-662-0002 for parking passes).
