Be a Citizen Transportation Planner

Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) work to promote safe and efficient transportation investments in their region that stimulate economic growth, protect natural and cultural resources, and support a good quality of life for all residents. They often have public meetings to seek input on upcoming projects and post items for public comment. Get to know your MPO and use a link to the left to Get Involved and stay connected. Join the Ride The Triad Movement

If your agency, organization, government entity or employer is interested in improving and promoting mobility options in our region join the TDM (Transportation Demand Management) Council. There is no fee to join. As a member all you are asked to do is attend the Council meetings, promote the RidetheTraid.org webpage, and participate in activities as you are able. Members as of May 2025 are shown to the right.

The Council meets virtually four times a year and the meetings include:

* Project updates;

* A guest speaker featuring local, state and national experts on TDM topics: and

* A time for participants to share and ask questions.
