Getting your employees to work

The commute to and from work can often be expensive and stressful. The PARTnership program is designed to help employers in the Piedmont Triad provide commuter options for their employees. Working with a PARTnership team member, we can improve mobility for employees by identifying alternatives to driving alone, marketing sustainable options, and reducing an employee's transportation cost.

Providing commuter options is an excellent way to enhance your company's employee benefits package. And a great way to set yourself apart from other companies. The best part is that there is no cost to participate!

Here's a couple of facts to get you going:

  • There is no minimum size for a company to be a member or a minimum number of employees that must participate. 
  • The employer needs to become a member for employees to receive benefits. 
  • For our Vanpool program, the employer must have employees whose journey to work begins or ends in Alamance, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, or Yadkin Counties.

PARTnership Program Benefits

Being a PARTnership member gives you the following benefits.  including:

  • A Customized Commuter Options Report 
    • Analysis of transportation options available to your worksite(s)
    • Employee Commute Survey (Optional)
    • Advice on Commuter Amenities – preferred parking, bike/walk amenities
  • Participation in PART Express and Regional Vanpool Discounts
    • The X-Pass for PART Express riders:
      • The X-Pass provides a 30% discount on the cost of a PART Express bus pass. 
      • Employees of program members are eligible to receive a 31-Day pass for $56 (normally $80) and 10-Ride ticket for $14 (normally $20).
      • X-Pass users must use the Umo Mobile App or Smartcard System for fare payment.
      •  X-Pass users can receive a free UMO Smartcard, a $5 value, if they choose that option.
      • The employer can purchase the pass for the employees, subsidize the cost of the pass or allow employees to purchase the pass.
    • Regional Vanpool Discount: 
      • A 50% discount for the first month will be applied.
      • The employer has the option of paying the full cost of the vanpool, subsidizing the cost to the employee or simply supporting the formation of the vanpool while the vanpool participants pay for the cost of the vanpool.
